Chelsea Christmas Lights Switch-on

Event: An outdoor public event brimming with festive sparkle.

The Chelsea Christmas Light Switch-On marks the start of the festive season, drawing thousands of residents and visitors to a vibrant, partially pedestrianised King’s Road and Duke of York Square.

Featuring a Christmas market with over 60 stalls and local business activations.

A continual program of performances across a main stage and bandstand, along with roaming entertainers and singers.

The event has a community focus and supports the Kensington and Chelsea Foundation’s Winter Appeal.

A local child is invited to join Father Christmas on the main stage to turn the lights on. Visitors are treated to an immersive 360 light-on finale experience with fireworks, lights and confetti. Pure magic!
