The Christmas Party season is fast approaching and It’s interesting to see how the years themes and influences are featuring in the festive celebrations.

With two Royal Weddings this year there has been an air of romance to events in 2018, lots of candles, lace and fresh flowers – elements that will transpose well into theming for Christmas events, creating an almost ‘gothic’ feel as the nights grow darker and the days colder.

Also borrowing from current wedding style is the trend for all things ‘Rustic’, just because its winter you don’t have to stop ‘bringing the outside in’, unfinished wooden benches and tables, haybales, vintage style decorations (paper lanterns, bunting) – even temporary structures such as Marquees and Tipis can be made winter ready with adequate heating and carpets, and with the addition of rugs and firepits in them your guests will be warm and cosy (a little mulled wine always helps!)

In the earlier months of the year The Greatest Showman was THE go to theme for parties and events and is set to have a resurgence in the coming weeks as it lends itself so well to the party season – especially if you want to encourage your guests or venue staff to dress up.

With less than 6 weeks to go until the big day you may think you’ve left it too late to plan but this article from Time Out magazine has an amazing 62 venue suggestions – many of which we have an established working relationship with – and would make the perfect back drop to your last minute gathering.
