King’s Coronation

Event: The weekend of the King’s Coronation was a busy one at Fay Campbell Events with three outdoor celebrations taking place at three of London’s most prominent locations.

King’s Road, Chelsea

We closed a section of the King’s Road to host a celebratory Street Party featuring a giant feasting table, food market, pop up bars from local businesses and a programme of entertainment including orchestras, choirs, dancers, a march by the Chelsea Pensioners and a parade of 100 King Charles Cavelier dogs suitably dressed for this historic occasion.

Holland Park, Kensington

We installed a big screen to live stream the Coronation ceremony. Deckchairs were provided and circus acts entertained the children.

Gloucester Road, Kensington

For the first time in its history a section of Gloucester Road was closed to host a fabulous street party. The community came out in force for “The Big Lunch’ to celebrate the Coronation sharing food, drink and laugher with their neighbours. Many of the local businesses took stalls to sell food and drink items. Music was provided by steel pan and percussionist players with circus acts, facepainting and bubble artist for the little ones.
